Apple unveiled its latest phones, the iPhone 17 series. That's updates to three known models and also the all-new iPhone 17 Air, which takes the place of the Plus. If camping out on release day isn’t really your style, but you still wish to grab one at the earliest opportunity, you'll be able to reserve the iPhone 17, 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max or iPhone 17 Air from 10pm AEST on September 12, in advance of the September 19 release date.
Aplpe’s iPhone 17 features a new design with a slightly larger 6.3-inch display and slimmer bezels. And after much anticipation (and a lot of grumbling), the base iPhone 17 finally includes a 120Hz refresh rate.
Internally, the new A19 chip is faster as well as more optimized, especially when paired with Apple Intelligence. If you are upgrading from an older iPhone, you'll experience a massive bump in speed and improved gameplay thanks to ProMotion.
About the camera, you'll find a 48MP Fusion main camera (shooting 24MP photos by default) and also a 2x telephoto lens. The ultra-wide camera also features an upgrade to 48MP, making macro photography sharper and much more detailed.
